Monday 4/26/10

I gave a talk in Church yesterday where I challenged everyone to keep and fill in the blanks for Personal and Family Histories. Quickly realized that I have been greatly lacking in that arena, and had to accept the challenge myself. My hands and fingers don't like pencils (they break on me). Plus, you can't copy and paste with pencil and paper. Therefore, my alternative is to joing the blogging world. I've been part of the Twitter world for awhile now, so this is a natural progression, and perfectly acceptable for moving forward with my personal and family history, and filling in details where they are missing.

My first detail. Attended Bishopric training over the weekend. But, did not get my windshield wipers replaced in time. They got mangled over the winter. I've been avoiding using the car on rainy days. Easy since I work from home. But, I finally got replacement blades and went to replace them tonight. But, I removed them from the packages before I realized they were different sizes - one goes to driver, one to passanger. Not sure which one, but website only gave package labeling - not size. Things like this make life interesting. I looked at our other car, realized it had a longer one for the driver side, and matched that pattern on the Saturn. They work, I guess that is all that matters. After all, it it was that important, they would stamp it on the blade, right?

By the way. I wound up not going to TaeKwonDo tournament hosted by our school on Sunday because I was conducting at Church and had the talk. Hard to beg out of the meeting when you are responsible that weekend for setting it up and giving a talk. There will be other tournaments, and the other Black Belts seemed to understand. I'll find out if they really do Tuesday night at training.
